Deux nouveaux barrages hydro\u00e9lectriques \u00e0 Mourala et Nyanga dans le sud du pays vont \u00eatre construits gr\u00e2ce \u00e0 un PPP sign\u00e9 en mai 2022 par le gouvernement avec un consortium de deux soci\u00e9t\u00e9s priv\u00e9es. Ces deux nouveaux barrages hydro\u00e9lectriques auront une capacit\u00e9 de 331 m\u00e9gawatts. Le gouvernement cite comme motif de cette d\u00e9cision, la volont\u00e9 du prestataire China Gezhouba sollicitait en effet la r\u00e9alisation du projet en mode EPC (Engineering, Procurement and Construction) et non en mode BOT comme initialement pr\u00e9vu par les parties. Projet int\u00e9grateur majeur dans la zone Cemac (Cameroun, Congo, Gabon, Tchad, RCA et Guin\u00e9e \u00e9quatoriale), le barrage hydro-\u00e9lectrique de Chollet devait \u00eatre construit sur le fleuve Dja, la fronti\u00e8re fluviale entre le Cameroun et le Congo. L\u2019entr\u00e9e en service de cette infrastructure \u00e9nerg\u00e9tique devait permettre de r\u00e9sorber le d\u00e9ficit \u00e9nerg\u00e9tique de ces deux pays, mais aussi ceux des pays voisins tels que la Centrafrique et le Gabon.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>Les \u00e9tudes pour la construction du barrage de Sounda, qui pourra g\u00e9n\u00e9rer jusqu\u2019\u00e0 1000 MW, sont lanc\u00e9es.
